A show to be seen and heard: 800 Italian university choristers filled Piazza Vecchia in Città Alta, Bergamo, with their music.
Elle&P is proud to have supported the Università Canta Uni.Co event, the project conceived by Laura Pesenti, Vocal Coach and Director of the Student Choir of the University of Bergamo, held on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 April 2023.
The project started in 2020, during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, when daily face-to-face meetings stopped all over Italy. Laura Pesenti’s initiative started with a virtual musical competition and, after three years, involved more than 25 Italian university choirs.
The virtual embrace materialised on the occasion of Bergamo Brescia Capital of Culture 2023, when 20 Università Canta choirs met in Bergamo and Brescia to share their melodies through concerts, performances and information sessions about the importance of music in the education system.
Uni.Co was indeed an important and unique opportunity to once again strengthen the link between Elle&P and local young people.
